MACRAME POT HANGER WORKSHOPS

Macramé Pot Hanger Workshops at the Porters Lodge in the Historic Dockyard £40 including all materials, 11am-1pm

Create a beautiful intricate macramé pot hanging for your plant. Learn how to do wrap knots, half knots and flat knots. Sit and relax and engage in some textile therapy. At the end of the workshop you will receive a virtual knot booklet so you can carry on creating more at home.

WEAVE WORKSHOPS

Intro to Frame Loom Weaving 

10am-4pm, £85 Including all materials at the Porters Lodge in the Dockyard

Saturday 29th June - 5 spaces

Learn how to weave using a wooden frame lap loom. Students will learn how to make their own fabric, warp their own loom, finish and create their own woven wall-hanging or decorative fabric. The project will have a focus on texture, pattern and colour where all materials will be included. The workshop covers soumak, experimenting with 2-3 colours in one row and how to create shapes and tassels. Alice has won a platinum award with craft courses and has 120 five star reviews.

Materials Include

Home-made Hume Loom, tools and a variety of yarns. Optional: feel free to bring along strips of fabrics, beads or anything you want to experiment with. Looms are for course use only, but will be available to purchase at the end of the workshop. I am also available to travel for group events please get in touch.

KNOT CLUB

Create your own macrame wall hanging and learn different knots at my Studio 9 Hotwalls, 6pm-7.20pm

Over the course you will learn different knots to create a wall hanging. The course includes all materials. The price of the course is split into two groups of dates, or purchase the full 6 weeks with a £10 discount.

Suitable for all abilities and beginners.

Maximum to a class is 5 participants to allow plenty of one to one tuition. Free parking at Hotwalls after 6pm

Join me for a weave class from 6pm-7pm on a Thursday evening. In this class you can learn anything from patterns, textures, how to finish, create tassels and more.

You will need your own loom to do this workshop, and I recommend attending one of my day weave workshops to learn the basics

Weaving workshop that teaches you how to create your own woven coasters. Introduction to Macrame Wall Hangings

£35, unlimited access, learn at home and go at your own pace

An online knotting technique workshop guiding you through on how to make your own macrame wall hanging. Consisting of 12 modules that include step by step photographs with clear and detailed instructions. On purchase log in and go at your own pace and have unlimited access, this workshop is not live and does not expire.

This is suitable for beginners and for those who have done macrame before. The workshop includes a printable knot booklet.

ONE TO ONE ZOOM WEAVE CLASS

£30 for a 75 minute one to one zoom class

Join me for a 75 minute one to one weave class on a date and time of your choice.

In this class you will learn new techniques of your choice. This could include how to create shapes, zig zag pattern, twisting the warp strings, adding in flecks and other techniques.

You will need your own loom to do this workshop, make sure your loom is warped up with soumak and you have wool wrapped onto three shuttles. Make sure the 2 or 3 wools you are using are similar thickness. You will need scissors, wool, heddle stick, comb and your loom.
